南京医科大学附属口腔医院(口腔医学院)，暨江苏省口腔医院、江苏省红十字口腔医院是江苏省第一所三级甲等口腔专科医院、委省共建国家口腔区域医疗中心创建牵头单位、江苏省高水平医院重点建设单位。现为中华口腔医学会副会长单位、江苏省口腔医学会会长单位、江苏省研究型医院建设单位、江苏省口腔医学创新中心，也是江苏省口腔卫生指导中心、江苏省口腔医学专业质量控制中心、江苏省基层特色科室孵化中心挂靠单位。

Affiliated Stomatological Hospital (Stomatological College) of Nanjing Medical University , also known as Stomatological Hospital of Jiangsu Province and Red Cross Stomatological Hospital of Jiangsu Province, is the first tertiary Class A specialized stomatological hospital in Jiangsu Province, the leading unit in the establishment of the national oral regional medical center jointly built by the National Health Commission and the provincial government, and a key construction unit of high-level hospitals in Jiangsu Province. It is currently the vice-president unit of the Chinese Stomatological Association, the president unit of the Jiangsu Stomatological Association, a construction unit of research-oriented hospitals in Jiangsu Province, the Jiangsu Oral Medicine Innovation Center, and also the affiliated unit of the Jiangsu Oral Health Guidance Center, the Jiangsu Oral Medicine Professional Quality Control Center, and the Jiangsu Grassroots Characteristic Department Incubation Center.

医院总面积70000余平方米，设有一级临床科室13个，医技科室7个，院外门诊部9个。年门急诊量近百万人次，年出院病人5000余人次。拥有牙体牙髓病科、口腔颌面外科、口腔修复科、口腔正畸科等4个国家临床重点专科，口腔医学主干科室均为省级临床重点专科。在国家三级公立医院绩效考核中连续三年A等次(全国口腔专科医院最高等次)。

The hospital has a total area of more than 70,000 square meters, with 13 first-level clinical departments, 7 medical technology departments, and 9 outpatient departments outside the hospital. It has an annual outpatient and emergency volume of nearly 1000,000 person-times and an annual discharge of more than 5,000 patients. It has 4 national key clinical specialties including the Department of Endodontics, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Prosthodontics, and Orthodontics, and all the main departments of stomatology are provincial key clinical specialties. It has ranked A in the national tertiary public hospital performance assessment for three consecutive years (the highest level among national stomatological specialist hospitals).

医院在国内率先提出“诊前3分钟”医疗服务理念，并得到原卫生部肯定，持续推进多学科诊疗与特色专科建设，着力打造省内首个5G+口腔远程医疗会诊中心，提升疑难疾病诊疗和关键技术开展能力。作为江苏省老年健康促进项目建设单位、江苏省儿童青少年口腔健康教育研究中心，聚焦“一老一小”，多措并举促进全生命周期口腔健康。医院同时也是省内首家国家医师资格考试实践技能考试与考官培训基地(口腔类)、口腔全科医生培养省级示范临床基地、首批国家级住院医师规范化培训基地(口腔类)及口腔颌面外科专科医师规范化培训基地。

The hospital was the first in China to propose the medical service concept of “3 minutes before diagnosis”, which was affirmed by the former Ministry of Health. It has continuously promoted multidisciplinary diagnosis and treatment and the construction of characteristic specialties, and focused on building the first 5G + oral telemedicine consultation center in the province to improve the diagnosis and treatment of difficult diseases and the ability to carry out key technologies. As a construction unit of the Jiangsu Elderly Health Promotion Project and the Jiangsu Center for Oral Health Education Research for Children and Adolescents, it focuses on the “elderly and children” and takes multiple measures to promote oral health throughout the life cycle. The hospital is also the first national medical qualification examination practical skills examination and examiner training base (oral category) in the province, a provincial demonstration clinical base for general stomatology training, one of the first batch of national standardized residency training bases (oral category), and a standardized training base for oral and maxillofacial surgery specialists.

医院现有职工近900人，其中高级职称者160余人，博士生导师20余人，硕士生导师70余人。入选国家重大人才计划、享受国务院政府特殊津贴专家、江苏省“有突出贡献的中青年专家”、江苏省优秀医学领军人才、江苏省杰出青年基金获得者、江苏省教学名师、江苏特聘教授、江苏省333”工程等各类省级及以上人才90余人次；担任中华口腔医学会主委、副主委等学术职务专家120余人次。

The hospital currently has nearly 900 employees, including more than 160 with senior professional titles, more than 20 doctoral supervisors, and more than 70 master supervisors. More than 90 people have been selected into various provincial and above talent programs such as the National Major Talent Plan, experts enjoying special government allowances from the State Council, “Young and Middle-aged Experts with Outstanding Contributions” in Jiangsu Province, outstanding medical leading talents in Jiangsu Province, recipients of the Jiangsu Outstanding Youth Fund, famous teachers in Jiangsu Province, specially appointed professors in Jiangsu Province, the “333 Project” in Jiangsu Province, the “Double Creation Plan” in Jiangsu Province, and the “Six Talent Peaks” in Jiangsu Province; more than 120 experts have held academic positions such as chairpersons and vice-chairpersons in the Chinese Stomatological Association.

口腔医学学科是江苏省唯一的口腔医学类优势学科，具有一级学科博士学位、博士专业学位授予权，设有博士后科研流动站，获批江苏省博士后创新实践基地。在2024年软科中国大学口腔专业排名第7位，江苏地区第1位。口腔医学专业为首批国家级一流本科专业、高等教育特色专业，江苏省高等教育品牌专业、重点专业，获国家级教学成果奖二等奖、江苏省教学成果奖一等奖各1项。医院建有口腔疾病研究与防治国家级重点实验室(培育建设点)、江苏省口腔转化医学工程研究中心、南医大口腔医学临床研究中心，近五年承担各级各类课题200余项，其中国家自然科学基金重点项目等国家级课题50余项，先后获教育部自然科学二等奖、江苏省科学技术二等奖等。

The discipline of stomatology is the only advantageous discipline in stomatology in Jiangsu Province. It has the right to confer doctoral degrees in the first-level discipline and professional doctoral degrees, and has a postdoctoral research mobile station. It has been approved as a Jiangsu Postdoctoral Innovation Practice Base. In the 2024 Soft Science Ranking of Chinese University Oral Majors, it ranks 7th in the country and 1st in Jiangsu. The stomatology major is one of the first batch of national first-class undergraduate majors, a characteristic major in higher education, a brand major and a key major in Jiangsu higher education. It has won one second prize of the National Teaching Achievement Award and one first prize of the Jiangsu Teaching Achievement Award. The hospital has built a national key laboratory for oral disease research and prevention (under cultivation and construction), the Jiangsu Oral Translational Medicine Engineering Research Center, and the Nanjing Medical University Oral Medicine Clinical Research Center. In the past five years, it has undertaken more than 200 projects at all levels, including more than 50 national projects such as key projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and has successively won the second prize of the Natural Science Award of the Ministry of Education and the second prize of the Jiangsu Science and Technology Award.

医院重视国内外交流合作。与美国伊利诺伊大学芝加哥分校、丹麦奥胡斯大学、奥尔堡大学、香港大学等高校建立了长期合作关系，与英国邓迪大学、美国马凯特大学等高校联合开设国际课程，与新疆、西藏、华东等地区100余所口腔医疗机构建立了医联体、专科联盟、特色科室孵化等多形式、多层次的合作。

The hospital attaches great importance to exchanges and cooperation at home and abroad. It has established long-term cooperative relationships with universities such as the University of Illinois at Chicago in the United States, Aarhus University and Aalborg University in Denmark, and the University of Hong Kong. It has jointly offered international courses with universities such as the University of Dundee in the United Kingdom and Marquette University in the United States. It has established various forms and multi-level cooperation such as medical consortiums, specialty alliances, and characteristic department incubations with more than 100 stomatological medical institutions in Xinjiang, Tibet, East China and other regions.
